We care about software that behaves well in imperfect conditions. The technology should be reliable when the network is slow, respectful of the time and attention of the person using it, and transparent enough in how it works that organisations can trust what they're adopting.
That's why we build on open-source foundations and ship hosted platforms on top of them, giving people a choice between managing the technology themselves or letting us handle it.

Everything we build in Inbox Academy sits on top of django-email-learning, an open-source software library we develop and maintain. It's what actually handles the delivery of courses, quizzes, and enrolments through email. Publishing it openly means there's full transparency in how our platform works, and any organisation with the technical capacity can host it themselves rather than relying on us.
